U15 v St Josephs (Away) 22 Nov 2009

19-7 Win

Thought you would like to know that Grant has got a very badly sprained ankle from Sunday's game.

He's going to be off school for a couple of days and on crutches but luckily no breaks or torn ligaments which was what everyone first feared.

Good effort on Sunday lads. 3 tries to one I think, I was too busy forgetting to run the line and counting the penalty count against us?!

Well done to Joe Christopher for his part in our first try and James Davies for showing his pace into the corner.

Greg Tynan played a big part in the second try with good support play following up a big kick to touch, up field with the wind behind it.

His quick thinking put Jordan in position to use his strength to biff over taking a couple of defenders with him. Jordan then sent a 'Jonnyesque' drop goal over from out by the touchline.

Both the Joes played their best games of the season and the forwards came out on top in contact with loads of lineout ball stolen by Cam.

Joe Paley was outstanding at full back despite being peppered by all the elements and ran it back at them brilliantly. He put in some good kicks at important moments too. Good to see the Llangibby Three back in action, well played Evan, Ethan and Adam.

We did have a few panic moments where falling on the ball would have been a better option but really heading in the right direction.

You are all getting there week by week.
