U11 v Caldicot (Home) 04 Nov 2012

14-0 Win

Much improved Caldicot were the visitors to a soggy Chippie Fields – the rain held-off and a great competitive game ensued. Tough tackling by both sides limited opportunities, although Monmouth Bears always seemed to be the more threatening, constantly looking to spread the ball out wide.

A try in each half secured the spoils for Monmouth – Roderick Ho striking first blood in the first-half and Alastair McIntosh in the second period. With both tries converted by Ben Pilot, the Bears secured another win and with it, a fifth clean sheet of the season.

A great competitive game all-round was marred at the very end by a serious leg injury to a Caldicot player. All at Monmouth Young Rugby wish Rhys Probert well in his recovery and we hope to see him back in action when we visit Caldicot in the New Year.

Final Score: Monmouth 14 – 0 Caldicot

Tries: Roderick Ho, Alastair McIntosh
Conv: Ben Pilot (2)
