U9 v Cwmbran (Home) 27 Jan 2013

5-30 Loss

By some miracle the snow vanished and the rain stayed away so the Chiefs could take to a decidedly soft pitch to entertain Cwmbran.

Once again the Chiefs were slow to start against an organised and well drilled Cwmbran side. Playing the usual format of 3 x ten minute spells at one stage it looked like Cwmbran were going to rack up a score more akin to cricket than rugby. As the game entered the second phase the Chiefs put up sterling opposition and finally during the third phase actually managed to hold firm and peg Cwmbran back and Theo ran in a consolation try for the Chiefs.

In all fairness it was a cracking half hour of Rugby with very little to split the teams but credit where credits due the more determined and organised team won on the day but once again the Chiefs continue to improve with each game and whilst everyone would prefer a win for the home team you cannot fault their passion and commitment.
