U10 v Hereford (Away) 24 Nov 2013

Having suffered a dip in form recently the Chiefs met early at a muddy Hereford to get in some pre match training the results of which showed immediately despite the fact that only 50% of the squad were available on the day.

Dividing the squad into two teams of 8 with the Chiefs numbers made up of 3 guest players from Hereford the boys put in some sterling team displays and there were some close fought games. Indeed the Chiefs did themselves proud once they had mastered the different rules and put in some crunching tackles to halt the tenacious and well drilled opposition.

Bright sunshine welcomed Abergavenny to Chippie on this Sunday morning providing everyone with a much welcome break from the recent rain!

Despite being half term the Chiefs still managed to raise a squad of some 19 players so the decision was made to play a game of 4 halves to ensure everybody got a chance to play. With the Chiefs squad expanding rapidly in recent weeks the boys are still very much in the embryonic stages of team dynamics which meant
