Druids v Usk (Away) 28 Jan 2012
20-3 Win
Druids win in Cup
Monmouth Druids temporarily set aside league points as they made the short journey to Usk Rfc to compete in the Pontypool and Newport Cup. The squad was depleted to some extent due to shooting and shopping reasons.
Playing at the Usk Agricultural College was unusual for the Druids and not too frequent for Usk. The home side must have been aware that in the two previous matches this season, they have been soundly beaten by the Druids. Usk fielded a side which included some new players to those who had played in the those matches.

Druids v Pill Harriers (Away) 21 Jan 2012
34-20 Win
Druids Win in Style
A tough challenge faced Monmouth Druids away at Pill Harriers on Tredegar Park Newport. The Druids who are top of the Pontypool & Newport League were facing opposition who are in third place. Another factor was that Pill defeated the Druids earlier in the season at Monmouth so revenge was on the cards for the visitors.

Druids Teamwork wins it
The Sports Ground was the venue for Monmouth Druids traditional, long standing fixture with local rivals USK RFC. This game was eagerly awaited by the Druids, as the Sports Ground is a rare bonus attraction in over a large number of seasons. A large crowd, many from Usk, supported the match together containing a fair sprinkling of festive holiday makers.

Druids v Abergavenny (Away) 07 Jan 2012
22-20 Win
Last Gasp Victory
On a perfect day for rugby, Monmouth travelled to Abergavenny missing some key players especially in the forwards. They faced a side which defeated the Druids on their own turf earlier in the season, so revenge was their aim.

Druids v Caldicot (Home) 17 Dec 2011
9-3 Win
Druids grind out win
Defeats in their two previous matches this season could have dented the Druids confidence. Caldicot were the visitors and a very competitive match was anticipated as the home side sought to get back in the winning vein.
Chippenham Mead served up a heavy, sticky playing surface which was both stamina sapping and skill testing. For this hastily arranged friendly the Druids, pulled together a strong squad from newcomers to past first team players. Both sides were chaffing at the bit by warming up some 30 minutes before the kick off.

Druids v Gwernyfed (Away) 10 Dec 2011
0-11 Loss
Poor display by Druids
After a loss at home in their last game, the Druids travelled to Talgarth to meet Gwernyfed RFC. Having won all their away fixtures and beating Gwernyfed in the previous game this season, they were quite hopeful of a win.
The opening play saw the visitors have the better of the play without opening the scoring. Druids Prop Rob Jode fielded a high ball and made ground into the Gwernyfed defence. He passed to Full Back Gareth Jones who in turn fed Left wing Nathen Crocker but the attack succumbed to cover tackling.
Druids v Risca (Home) 26 Nov 2011
15-20 Loss
Druids home defeat
Top of the table Monmouth Druids suffered a 15-20 points home league defeat against Risca on Chippenham Mead. The game started with uncontested scrums because the visitors could not field prop forwards. The Druids who up until this latest game, had won their last four games, would not have lacked confidence for this match.
